Through education and bold initiatives, Delta Vancouver Suites seeks to create a culture of environmental awareness between guests, team members and suppliers, resulting in the reduction of energy and waste. It is our goal to be leaders and lead by example, always moving forward. The smallest things can make the biggest difference.
Programs in Place
- Towel Program, if you can re-use them, please hang them up
- Sheet Change Program: up to two night stay or less sheets not changed unless requested
- Recycling kitchen grease waste by a local company and converting to Bio-Diesel
- Donate linens, terries and furnishings to local charities
- $5.00 discount on valet fees to guests driving a Hybrid vehicle
- Support Ocean Wise™ menu program, serving ocean-friendly seafood only
- Using fresh, locally produced food (we are surrounded by it)
- Recycling bins in all guest room, offices and team member areas
- Reduced by 20% the amount of paper usage within all departments, year over year
- Energy saving bulbs (incandescent to compact fluorescent) in all guest rooms
- Energy saving reminder stickers on each Guest door
- New Fitness centre installed with motion sensor to save electricity
- Recycling pop and liquor containers through United We Can!, an organization designed to employ and create job opportunities for people of the Vancouver area
